Features of a Spanish course at the Nuns of Vught
Start when it suits you
We are happy to work around your schedule. Whether you opt for intensive course in Vught, online one-to-one lessons or a hybrid programme, we will work with you to plan the times that suit you best. Our Client Services team will be happy to reserve your preferred dates and schedule your intake interview.
A personal intake
A few weeks before you start, you will have an intake interview with a Spanish language trainer. You can do this on Microsoft Teams, but you can do it in person in Vught too.
We will discuss why you want to learn Spanish, how you will use it and what your goals are. Do you already have some knowledge of the language? Then some of the conversation will be in Spanish so we can determine your level. It’s also the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have and tailor the course to your specific needs.

Learning from your practice
Your language trainer will immerse themselves in your situation: why you want to learn Spanish, in what context you will be using it and who you will be talking to. We practise with realistic scenarios and role-plays, so you learn to speak Spanish with confidence in the situations that are important to you.
Full attention to your learning process
Most students opt for individual lessons, because the language trainer can focus all their attention on your learning style, pace and goals. This allows you to get the most out of every session, whether you opt for an intensive course, take online lessons or follow a hybrid programme.
What do lesson days at Regina Coeli look like?
You will fully focus on learning Spanish. You receive a lesson schedule, a bell will ring to indicate the start of the day and everyone around you will be busy learning a language.
- Start your day with breakfast. You may want to go outside or join a yoga lesson before your first lesson.
- Mornings are broken into two lesson blocks, each consisting of a private lesson followed by self-study. There is a break between the lesson blocks.
- Join other students for lunch. A buffet awaits you in the restaurant.
- You will have two more lesson blocks in the afternoon, this time with a different language trainer or two.
- The last lesson ends at 5:35 p.m. There are additional programmes on some evenings. Others are free for self-study, relaxation and, of course, dinner in the restaurant.
- Your language trainers will add a few group activities and language tables to your programme.
Learning Spanish in Vught
Our language institute is a place where learning and enjoyment go hand in hand. You will find space to concentrate and a lively, international atmosphere where you will immediately feel at home. You will work on your Spanish in bright, modern rooms, surrounded by language trainers and students from all over the world.
During your stay, you will practise with your own trainer and strike up conversations with other students with people learning languages with us. This turns your training into a journey through different languages and cultures.

No hablo español… Can I still start?
Claro que sí! Even if you are starting from scratch, you will find that you are speaking Spanish from the very first lesson. Thanks to the personal guidance and practical approach, you will quickly feel confident enough to order in Spanish, make small talk or even tell jokes.
I already speak some Spanish, but I want to become more fluent. How do you approach this?
Whether you’re unsure in conversations or want to refine your pronunciation, we always work from your experience. You practise a lot, apply new words and grammar immediately and train the situations important to you. This can be done in Vught, online or in a hybrid programme.
Can I also learn Spanish for holidays?
Absolutely. We make your course as practical as possible: from greeting neighbours to having conversations at the market. You will also learn cultural customs and manners, so you feel at home in Spain or Latin America.
How do you put my courses together?
You will have an intake with a native speaker from Spain or Latin America. We will discuss what you want to achieve, your current level and how you want to use Spanish. Based on this, we will design a tailor-made course, entirely at your pace and in your style.
Can I choose how I want to follow my course?
Yes. You can choose between:
- Intensive in Vught: several days of complete immersion in the language and culture.
- Online 1-on-1: flexible learning wherever and whenever suits you.
- Hybrid: the best of both worlds, with intensive lessons and follow-up lessons online.
