It’s Murphy’s Law! Let’s make hay while the sun shines. Do you recognize these Irish proverbs or sayings?

1. John’s a really good salesman. He’s full of blarney. a. Sometimes, it’s better to stop while things are going well.

4. We made a mess of our presentation. We spent too long on it trying to get it right. Long churning makes bad butter. d. You can’t make something better than what it is.
5. Marriages are all happy; its having breakfast together that causes all the trouble. e. Always go to a specialist for a good job.
6. The computer we bought from the on-line electronic shop wasn’t very good. We should have gone to a specialist computer shop. As they say never buy bread from a butcher. f. Make the most of one's opportunities while you have the chance.
7. Let’s make hay while the sun shines and work on the new advertising campaign. g. If something can go wrong, it will go wrong.
8. Your son is your son until he marries, but your daughter is your daughter until you die. h. Success is attained through hard work, not through luck.
9. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong today: I had a car accident, I messed up the meeting, my computer broke. It was Murphy’s Law i. Sometimes it’s best to do things separately in a marriage.
10. It doesn’t matter what we do with this new product. All the world wouldn’t make a racehorse from an ass. j. To be persuasive; smooth, wheedling talk; flattery; to talk constantly.
