Why extroverts seem to have an edge
It is true that you learn faster if you are unafraid to speak, can easily approach people and are not easily deterred when you make mistakes. Those are traits often attributed to extroverts. They dare to engage in conversation and thus actively practise their language skills. This can sometimes help them make faster progress, especially when it comes to their speaking skills.
The downside is that extroverts have a tendency to keep making the same mistakes because others do not always readily correct them. In fact, plenty of conversation partners appreciate that the other person is even trying to speak their language.
