‘The Nuns’ are coming to the High Tech Campus to teach Dutch

The High Tech Campus in Eindhoven has been called the smartest square kilometre in Europe. To make the area even smarter, Language Institute Regina Coeli (‘the Nuns of Vught’) will be kicking off Dutch courses on location as of January 2023. The aim is to make learning the language and culture more accessible for the many expats—and their partners—who live and work in the Brainport region.

Regina Coeli is going to Manila

Regina Coeli has signed a partnership agreement with OTTO workforce to train a group of ICU nurses from the Philippines. These qualified nurses can start working in a Dutch hospital once they have a solid command of the Dutch language. The small-group training programme kicks off in the Philippine capital, Manila, in March.

Language training for youths at Regina Coeli

Regina Coeli has begun offering individual language training courses for young people aged 15 to 18. More and more secondary school students are interested in taking language lessons alongside what they get at school. This could be because they find the language difficult, are looking for an additional challenge or want to prepare for internationally orientated education, for example. Students can opt for online lessons from a native speaker and intensive individual language training at Regina Coeli in Vught during the weekend.

Which language is the best to learn for a flourishing career?

More and more employers are looking for employees who speak Chinese. Job vacancy site Indeed recently concluded this based on research they carried out in August 2019. Indeed compared the required language skills listed in Dutch vacancies with those from the previous year and saw a skyrocketing rise in demand—nearly 70%—for knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin).
