Working as a language trainer at Regina Coeli
We have high expectations of our language trainers. One of these is that they are native speakers of one of the languages we teach and that they have a high-level mastery of their language. In addition, they have to have the necessary life experience to be a solid partner in conversation with our course members. We also therefore ask that they have a bachelor’s or higher level of education and can speak multiple foreign languages, including Dutch.
We place great value on having a well-balanced team of language trainers because this allows us to offer complete customisation to our course members. This means that we have in-house trainers with such varying backgrounds as technical, HR, marketing and management. Besides this, we compose teams with the ability to speak a range of supporting languages.
Our trainers receive in-house guidance in giving lessons based on our method. This intensive integration programme lasts three to four weeks and one aspect of it is following an intensive language training programme here at our institute.
On average, a language trainer teaches four different course members in a week. The one-to-one training is also extremely intensive for the trainers, so our trainers work part-time: generally four hours a day, five days a week.
