Lori Tierney

English language trainer

Lori comes from Ascot in Southwest England. She studied tropical medicine and philosophy. Worked as a researcher at the London School of Comparative Medicine and at Radboud University in Nijmegen before becoming one of the first ‘laypersons’ to teach at Regina Coeli.

‘Language is your soul and your music. Communicating with others is one of the most important basic human needs. When you decide to learn a foreign language, you make a sort of pact with yourself. You simply can’t learn a language in a week—it’s something you have to keep at. You need perseverance. That’s what I want people to realise. As a trainer, I am a guide. I also really enjoy talking about things that matter to my students.’

Speaks

English, Dutch, French
